Is Napkin Art Dead? No, not yet.

Napkin Art had a good run of fourteen months, but my figure paintings on newsprint are out-selling the napkins.
However, the napkins are great just to paint ideas.
Also, the napkins are really useful for portraits of people.
Because of the small size of the napkins, it doesn't take me as long to paint people.

You May Have Seen This Before, but maybe not.

"I like to keep my standards low so I will never be disappointed."
One of my friends must have said this line, and I thought it was hilarious, so I made a napkin art of it.
People's t-shirts have long been an influence on what I do.  I saw this one, and I just loved it.  This shirt is from the band 'Dwarves'.  I'll have to check out their music.
"I used to think Jesus is the way.  Now I just think Jesus is IN the way."
Somebody said this line, and I couldn't agree more.
I'm so tired of Jesus crap at this point, that I can't stand it anymore.

A reminder that I could use some more sales

'Space Journey Battles' is my idea for my sci-fi epic outer space fantasy.
The animals are my friends, and keep my company when I make my napkin art.
This is the finish on Lego Coco.  She was really happy when she received it in the mail.
More than a heart, it is actually an homage to the artist Jim Dine.
Hopefully, no one will get an invitation to my funeral for many decades.
However, my funeral will come sooner if I don't get enough art sales.
People should buy up all of my art, so that I can have a chance at life.
I'm getting tired of this poverty crap.  It sucks.
It isn't as if I charge a lot for my art, either.
I make it so everybody can afford to buy something.
All of my napkin art is $5 per piece, which is the price of a beer in a bar, and you get to take something home, which makes it better when you wake up, besides just having a stranger in bed, and you both are hung-over.

So, make my day.  Buy my art.
As a reminder, I ain't doing this for my health.
Otherwise, I would never set foot in a bar.
     They are mostly bad places.

Some Recent Sales

These are some napkins that were sold recently.
The one based on 'The Matrix' finally sold.  I've had that one for over a year.  It is in the lower left hand corner.
This is a promotional napkin I threw into my customer's bag, so they could know what my name is to look up on the web if they want to.
The woman with the red hair is my favorite.  I like to make simple line drawings of beautiful women.

I rarely get asked about my art, but I often get asked about how much money I make.  That is humanity for you, filled with loving people.

One of my brothers printed up some small books of my material.
The best one was the napkin art book on the right.  I wrote the text for it in an hour and a half through a gmail chat box.
I brought the books up to the bar for a week, but there wasn't much interest in them.
I always like to have my toy animals around for fun, and I like to take both non-flash and flash pictures of them.
It is amazing to see the different effect the flash can have.
"The Mystery of The Coffee That Everyone Gives Me for Real Cheap" and "The Mystery of The Extra Chair".  Fun inside the bar kind of jokes.  People that know what these napkins refer to are more amused than those who do not.
They are supposed to be set-up like mystery book covers.
I want to paint the background blue, with yellow for the type.
This woman had a lot of energy, using her hands to talk.  I caught the moment, and gave it to them.  They liked it so much, they gave me five bucks, which was cool.
I didn't initially do it for the money, I just thought they were nice people.
It happens from time to time, when good folk make an impression on me.
I am filled with so much hate at times, that I feel I owe the people that actually give me a good feeling.

Lego Portrait of a Young Swedish Couple

I met a nice couple at the bar.  They were from Sweden, so they were more than familiar with Lego.  They told me it literally means 'Enjoy' or 'Play Well'.
They saw that I did portraits in Lego, so they were thrilled to have a portrait done of them.  I think it came out well.
Both of them were such nice people.  They were both very kind.
They had no American in them, and didn't have any air about them, or ego, and they didn't have to prove anything.  Also, they liked artists.
I wish I was more like them.
